Our Mission
Empowering vulnerable children through love, faith, and high quality Christian education to break the cycles of abandonment, instability, and poverty to build brighter futures.

Advocating for Children
Our mission is to passionately advocate for children in foster care, and for disadvantaged and underprivileged children, helping break the cycle of poverty and abandonment to create lasting change.

Breaking Barriers
We are dedicated to defending the rights of the poor, bridging the achievement gaps, and eliminating not only material poverty but also the cultural, moral, and spiritual barriers that hold children back. We believe there is no orphan, only children of God.

Education & Empowerment
Through the gift of cost-free, high-quality Christian education paired with a nurturing, loving home environment, we aim to uplift these children and empower them to thrive, ultimately fostering a stronger, more compassionate society for all.

The Numbers
These numbers aren’t just statistics. They are children becoming adults with no foundation, and the outcomes are predictable — and preventable.
400,000+
Children are currently in U.S. foster care — a system never designed to heal trauma or build long‑term stability.
20,000
Youth age out of foster care every year with no family, no home, and no safety net.
50%
Become homeless by the age of 26 — one of the highest homelessness risks of any population in America.
25%
Are incarcerated within two years of leaving care — and up to 50% will encounter the justice system at some point.
Nearly 70%
Of young women formerly in foster care are pregnant by age 21, repeating generational cycles of instability.
8–12%
Will earn a college degree — compared to 49% of the general population.
The Cost of Doing Nothing
The long‑term cost of inaction is staggering.
Over the next decade, without intervention, taxpayers will shoulder:
America is already paying for failure — at a massive scale.
Every year, the United States spends tens of billions reacting to the downstream consequences of childhood trauma, family breakdown, and foster care instability.
Here is what inaction costs taxpayers annually:
ANNUAL PREVENTABLE SPENDING
$9.5B+
Federal foster care spending alone, not including billions more in state costs
Billions
Justice system involvement tied to former foster youth
Billions
Homelessness, emergency services, and welfare expenditures
$9B+
National cost of teen pregnancy
Untold billions
Lost productivity, education gaps, and long‑term public assistance
$37B+ per year
Combined Preventable Spending
10-YEAR TAXPAYER PROJECTION
$80B+
Foster care and related child welfare spending
$50B+
Justice system costs tied to vulnerable youth
$90B+
Homelessness, emergency services, and public assistance
$100B+
Lost economic productivity, education gaps, and long‑term dependency
These are not abstract numbers. They represent preventable spending — money poured into crisis response instead of prevention, healing, and long‑term transformation.
When we fail children early, we pay for it for decades.

Our Vision
Our vision is to create a world where every disadvantaged, underprivileged, and fostered child has access to a transformative, cost-free Christian education and a loving, supportive home.
We strive to empower these children to reach their fullest potential, break the cycle of poverty, and become compassionate leaders who uplift their communities and society.

Spiritual Development
At Children of God Academy, we recognize the importance of spiritual development and the significance of learning and living out God's Word. Our religious education programs and pastoral support help children grow in their faith and build a strong moral foundation while developing a close relationship with Jesus.
